Or, as most of us know it, the Tour de Yorkshire.

The 2019 UCI Tour de Yorkshire went past the end of the road today so 3 of us (one of us was at school!) braved the weather rode up to see the ladies ride past in the morning. Rather brilliantly for a bank holiday Friday, the road was going to be totally closed in the afternoon, meaning an early end to the school day and, in our eyes, an opportunity to start the bank holiday early!

“Allez, Allez, Allez"

In all honesty, the weather wasn't great (clue = the Yorkshire bit) and the motorbike rolling road block action went on for longer than the cycling bit but the Littlest Chap enjoyed the brief trip out, I enjoyed some "working from home" and we got to ride back really fast trying to "catch them up". And we worked on our French ("Allez Lizzie" although the race name has become something of a tongue-twister) and here's to September when she might become a World Champion on local roads.
