Crackpots Mosaic Trail (Nidderdale ish!)

Distance: 11.50km
Ascent: 267m

An easy to navigate walk, found just north of Pateley Bridge - so only about an hour's drive away from Leeds. Good paths, great signage, not too many metres of ascent and regular points of interest for Little Ones.

Parking: The route description starts up on the moor. There is good parking here.

In poor (icy) weather, we parked just to the East of point 13 where the road is wide - near the post box. There is also parking on the moor in the direction of Pateley Bridge in a number of laybys - just a short extra distance added to the walk.

Additional route suggestion: From point 1, you can continue East a short distance towards Greygarth Hill and Greygarth monument. Starting from our start point, this is about halfway and is an excellent diversion for a lunch spot with a shelter, a view and a tower to climb!
